Hours of Operation

Hours of Operation: Students may be dropped off at the school playground between 7:50am and 8:00am.  The first bell rings at 8:00am and students enter the school.  Dismissal is at 3:00pm.  On early dismissal days, schools begins at 8:00 and dismissal is at 12:30.  There is no lunch period on early dismissal days.

For weather-related late openings and closing, we follow Montgomery County guidelines.  If Montgomery County announces a delayed opening, St. John the Evangelist School will begin classes at 10:00am.  If Montgomery County announces an early dismissal, we will dismiss at the same time as the county schools.

During the summer vacation, the School Office is open daily from 8:00-3:00 during June and August.  In July, the office is open from 8:00am-noon.

Before Care and Extended Care Hours: Before Care is available from 7:30am until 8:00am each morning. On late opening days, when school begins at 10:00am, Before Care will be available beginning at 8:00am. The cost is $4 per half hour.

Extended Care is available all school days unless noted otherwise on the school calendar or by announcement. The hours are 3:00-6:00pm on regular school days and 12:30-6:00pm on early dismissal days. The cost is $9 per hour or part of an hour.
